Selene History

Brand Name 

Since my brand is destined to embrace the women power and to bring the feminine inside in each one of us. I found Selene, which is is the greek goddess and personification of the Moon, which is also, the ruler of my astrological sign. The moon represents nurture, feminine energy and beauty. So it all made sense that Selene would be the perfect name for the brand!

 

Our Mission

Inspire everyone to wear unique pieces that make them feel special, because each Selene pouch is different in some way, since they’re all handmade and customizable by the costumer. What differentiates Selene from other brands it’s how easy it is to mix your favorite patterns to create the perfect pouches to each one of the customers.

I want my customers to feel comfort, coziness and most importantly, self love. Because the experience of having a Selene pouch is to influence the self care routine, of always having something beautiful to carry their must-haves. I want to give my customers a feeling of calm and safety, for example, being at home taking care of ourself’s with our skincare routine, lighting a candle, reading a book or watching our favorite show!

 

The Beggining

I am a creative person and always aimed to put my creativity into something! When I bought my first sewing machine, I started to play with patterns and ways to create something useful but also girly. I’ve never tried to sew before, but I’ve always seen my grandmother create her own clothes, in her very old beautiful machine, so someone so close to me who knew how to sew helped me a lot. As soon as I realized that I loved what I was doing, I wanted to share to the world my beautiful creations!
